Prompt management for AI search
A prompt is a question you track, written the way a buyer would ask it. Aivting helps you keep that list tidy: tag prompts, compare groups, import in bulk and pause what no longer matters.
What a prompt is in Aivting
A prompt is a question whose answers Aivting collects from each engine, for example "which invoicing app is best for freelancers?". Each prompt has its own history, tags and search-demand bar. Write it as a full question, keep it under 500 characters and track one question per prompt: "best invoicing app and how much does it cost?" is two prompts.
How many prompts you track depends on your plan: 20 on Solo, 100 on Agency Lite and 500 on Agency Pro. See prompts and pricing.
Active and inactive prompts
Only active prompts are collected and counted. Pause a prompt and it stops being collected and drops out of the totals; its past answers are kept, and they count again when you turn it back on. That way you can retire a question without losing its history.
Tags: auto and your own
Aivting adds two automatic tag sets. Branded or non-branded: a branded prompt contains your brand or a tracked competitor. Intent: informational, commercial, comparison or transactional. You can also add your own tags, rename them and filter by them.
Why bother? Compare non-branded visibility with branded visibility. Branded is usually higher, and the gap shows how far your name travels without being asked about. Auto tags come from a rule, so some prompts get a tag you would change. Treat tags as a filter, not a measurement. See tags.
CSV import and export
Bring your list in from a CSV or a pasted list: up to 200 rows and 100 KB per import, each prompt up to 500 characters. Before anything is added, you see what happens to each line: will be added, will be reactivated, already tracked, duplicate in this list, empty, over 500 characters or over the prompt limit.
Export goes the other way: five CSV files (Prompts, Daily, Domains, URLs and Answers) that follow the date range, engines and tags on the page. Owners and editors can export. See CSV import and export.
The search-demand bar
Each prompt carries a bar from grey (low) to green (high) that shows how much interest the topic has relative to your other prompts. It has no numbers on purpose and doesn't affect any metric. Sort by demand and check your visibility on the greenest prompts first. See search demand.
On our roadmap: prompt suggestions. Today, you write or import the prompts yourself.
How prompt management works
Write your buyer questions, or import them from a CSV.
Check the preview, then add them. New prompts are collected on the next run.
Tag prompts and filter any view by tag to compare groups.
Pause prompts you no longer need and export your data when you want it elsewhere.
Prompt management: common questions
How many prompts can I track?
20 on Solo, 100 on Agency Lite and 500 on Agency Pro, spread across your projects as your plan allows.
What makes a good prompt?
A full question, written as a buyer would type it, about one thing. Add a few branded prompts and several non-branded ones so you can compare them.
What happens to a paused prompt's data?
Its past answers are kept but not counted while it is inactive. Turn it back on and it counts again.
How big can an import be?
Up to 200 rows and 100 KB per CSV, each prompt up to 500 characters.
