AI visibility tracking
AI visibility tracking answers one question: when a buyer asks an AI engine about your category, how often does the answer name your brand? Aivting collects the answers, counts them and shows every rate with the number of answers behind it.
What AI visibility tracking measures
AI visibility is the share of usable answers that name your brand. In Aivting it appears as Visibility, with its count next to it: "12 of 40 answers name your brand" is a visibility of 30%. A brand named twice in one answer still counts once.
Alongside it you get average position: the order in which your brand is first named among the brands you track. Position 1 means you came before every tracked competitor. The average is shown once at least 3 answers name you, so one lucky answer can't set the number. See how visibility is calculated and how average position works.
Why every rate shows how many answers it is based on
A rate without its sample size is a guess. Ask an AI engine the same question twice and you can get two different answers, naming different brands in a different order. So one answer is an anecdote, and 1 of 3 answers and 10 of 30 are both 33% while saying very different things.
Aivting shows the number of usable answers (n) under each figure. Answers that failed, came back empty or were blocked by a spend limit are counted separately and never as "not mentioned". If n is 0, no rate is shown at all. Read more in sample size (n).
Per engine, so the numbers stay honest
Each engine is a separate product, and Aivting reports it on its own. Every plan collects ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews and Google AI Mode. Agency Pro adds Gemini and Perplexity. Filter by engine before you compare anything, because a brand can be named often in one engine and rarely in another.
Open the answer behind any number
Every figure links back to what the engine actually wrote. Click a day on the chart, then open the answers from that day. The answer view shows the exact prompt sent, the full reply with your brand and each competitor highlighted, the engine, the time of collection (UTC) and the sources cited.
That is what makes a drop explainable. If your visibility falls, you can open the answers and see whether a competitor took your place, the engine cited different sources, or the prompt started returning another kind of answer. Runs and answers explains the detail.
A daily chart of the runs you start
A run collects answers to your active prompts when you start it. The chart plots one point per day, so you can watch a metric over a week or a month and pin a short note to a day, for example "moved the comparison pages to new URLs". A note helps you read a change next to its likely cause. It doesn't prove the cause.
On our roadmap: automatic daily runs. Today, prompts run when you start a run.
How AI visibility tracking works
Add your brand and the prompts you want to track, written the way a buyer would ask.
Start a run. Aivting collects the answers each engine gives to your active prompts.
Aivting finds your brand and your competitors in each answer and counts them.
Read visibility and average position with their n, filter by engine and date, and open any answer to check it.
AI visibility tracking: common questions
Is visibility the same as ranking?
No. AI answers have no fixed ranking. Visibility is the share of collected answers that name your brand, and average position is your order among the brands you track.
Why do my numbers differ from what I see in ChatGPT?
Your own chat is one answer, shaped by your history and settings. Aivting collects several answers per prompt, so its rates describe a sample, not a single reply.
How many answers do I need before a number is useful?
More is steadier. A rate from 3 answers is a hint; one from 60 measures that sample. Prefer weekly trends over single days, and add prompts if n stays small.
Which engines does Aivting track?
ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews and Google AI Mode on every plan. Gemini and Perplexity are added on Agency Pro.
Does Aivting guarantee my brand will be named?
No. Aivting measures what engines say and shows the evidence. It doesn't promise rankings, citations or traffic.
